IPA

 The Argentine Petrochemical Institute is a private non-profit institution. IPA´s main objectives are:

The promotion of technological applied research
The accomplishment of Research Studies regarding key industry issues.
The training of technicians and profesionals for the petrochemical industry.
The accomplishment of other services for the development of the petrochemical industry.

The Beginnings

In the mid seventies visionary industry participants with more than 30 years of experience in petrochemichal industry, decided to get together and create IPA. These industry leaders had trained in major companies of the world, and were aware of vast natural resources available to the local industry, hence, the potential for a strong and diversified industry in Argentina.

Thus, in 1976, the Argentine Petrochemical Institute was founded.
The Institute has achieved many accomplishments throughout its years in service to the petrochemical industry, but of great pride to the Institute has been support and joint effort to develop a close relationship between University and Industry.

Within IPA, manufacturing companies, oil companies, universities, research and professional entities work toghether as a unit. This helps provide a well-balanced service to the petrochemical industry in Argentina.
